Our client, a Personal Care and Cosmetic Manufacturer happily located in Southern California, is actively looking to add an OTC Transformation Director to their Quality team to drive a successful project of achieving OTC/FDA certification to support their ambitious growth plans.

Salary: $120,000-$130,000

Location: Los Angeles, CA (on-site)

Type: Direct Hire

Shift: Monday-Friday: 8am-5pm

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure the successful OTC certification.

Implement weekly/monthly status meetings with the stakeholders and, when necessary, revise the schedule or budget to ensure that project requirements can be met

Establish and maintain relationships with relevant client stakeholders, providing day-to-day contact on project status and changes.

Work closely with QA, QC, R&D, production, and supply chain teams to integrate quality and compliance considerations into product development and manufacturing processes.

Establishing effective project communication plans and ensuring their execution.

Ensure OTC products meet FDA Standards for safety, quality, and effectiveness.

Ensure all OTC products follow the FDA approval process.

Establish, Implement, and maintain up to date validated SOP’s.

Establish, improve, and maintain the change control process for OTC manufacturing.

Ensure OTC labeling requirements are established and followed: Label consistency, Active ingredients (drug facts box), uses, warnings, Inactive ingredients, purpose, directions, and other information.

Proactively prepare for OTC audits ensuring all guidelines and processes are in place and being followed.

Conduct internal OTC self- audits to ensure all guideline are being met and all quality compliance systems are abreast with the latest guidance on key legislations.

Implement Risk mitigation plans.

Stay abreast of global OTC monograph and legislations.QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or Biochemistry is desired.

5+ years of experience in the cosmetics/personal care industry.

Advanced degree preferred.

5+ years' experience in OTC management with 3+ years' leadership/team management experience.

Demonstrated knowledge of processes, compliance, safety, quality, and effectiveness

Proactive, effective communicator with team, peers, and senior leaders, both internally and with external collaborators.

Experience applying Quality Systems.

Previous experience to grow and development talent.

High ethical standards, integrity, and strength of character in his/her personal and professional dealings and a willingness to act on and be accountable for his/her decisions.
