Job Summary

Assists Periodontist, sets up equipment, prepares patients' for treatment, and keeps records.

General Accountabilities

Prepares patient, sterilizes or disinfects instruments, sets up instrument trays. Prepares materials, and assists Periodontist during procedures, implant surgery, and extractions.

Records treatment information in patient records.

Takes digital radiographs.

Takes and records patient vital signs.

Provides postoperative instructions prescribed by dentist.

Monitors dental supplies and equipment inventory.

Takes alginate impressions.

Assists dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies.

Willing to drive to different offices for deliveries and help with marketing.

Job Qualifications

Education: Post-secondary certificate from an accredited dental assistant program

Experience: 1-2 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experienceCompany Description
