We are currently looking for an experienced IT Systems Administrator to join our Mississauga team!

The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for supporting users, maintaining all hardware and software and respecting Pharma Medica Research Inc (PMRI) standard operating procedures (SOPs). The IT Administrator position reports to the Manager, IT and/or designate.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Configure and manage Azure Cloud computing environment including configuring policies, resource groups, storage, container, etc.

Provide maintenance and troubleshooting of servers, backup systems, On-prem and Azure Active Directory.

Evaluate and implement new cloud computing technologies and solutions.

Monitors all PMRI backups [VM, File, Database, etc.] and log\report any failures to IT Manager or designate.

Manage and administration of critical application and Microsoft SQL database servers.

Participates in maintaining and monitoring on-prem and cloud infrastructures.

Work together with IT and various departments to define requirements, solution design, run tests, etc.

Perform regular, weekly, or monthly backup and restore using Veeam tool and on cloud.

Deploy, configure, and maintain Esxi servers and Virtual machines.

Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures for network administration, usage, and disaster recovery.

Manage and configure network monitoring tools such as SolarWinds (SIEM & NPM).

Create and maintain documentation as it relates to network configuration, network mapping, processes, and service records.

Provide administration support for office365 applications such as SharePoint, OneDrive and Microsoft Power BI and so on.

Deliver quality work in an agile delivery model in a team environment

LAN/WAN routing, Windows Servers, FWs and switching design, configuration, and deployment

Primary responsibilities include consultations and performing engineering, design, installation and troubleshooting of data/security networks

Work in conjunction with other IT Staff and Software Development Team on projects, as necessary.

Provide support for hardware, peripherals, network access, productivity applications and other software as assigned.

Monitor voice mail, e-mail, messages, and related information for support inquiries.

Coordinate and maintain a log of request activities of the Help Desk, be able to prioritize

Manage service requests according to importance, i.e., emergency, immediate, high priority, moderate, general or suggestion.

Maintain document changes to the computing environment or Standard Operating Procedure.

Manage the inventory of computer, printing, licenses, hardware, and software.

Administer and assist with basic troubleshooting for network infrastructure.

Serve as the primary backup to the Media Services and Telecommunications Coordinators.

Attend meetings and provide on-site support to various offices.

Other duties as required.

Qualifications:

Degree in Information Technology or related field

6-8 years IT Specialist and Infrastructure support

Team player

Excellent verbal and written communications skills

Ability to work closely with all departments and personnel to ensure all computer technology needs and requirements are achieved
