Summary

The Director of Treasury is accountable for overseeing cash and treasury management, including procure to pay and order to cash and risk management. Furthermore, oversees in addition to core treasury responsibilities, the Director of Treasury manages the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Reconciliation and Sales Audit functions. As part of this role, the incumbent will create accurate cash flow forecasts and advise on insurance and other risk management initiatives. Occasional involvement in due diligence for M&A transactions will also be required.

Job Duties

Manage the cash funding requirements, prepare short-term rolling weekly cash forecasts, and evaluate actuals vs forecast.

Assist the Executive Team with various corporate finance, strategic planning opportunities and special projects.

Adhere to and promote treasury/accounting controls by following policies, principles, procedures, complying with federal, provincial, and financial & legal requirements.

Ensure cash funding requirements are met including initiating internal transfers and other cash activities on a weekly basis. Provide intercompany settlement recommendations to support cash movements in the bank.

Manage the company’s corporate credit card program, banking and insurance relationships.

Oversee and lead the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cash Reconciliation and Sales Audit function.

Implement process, enhanced documentation, system improvements, including add-ons for the financial ERP system to help identify risks and drive efficient internal processes.

Liaise with the other departments and auditors as required.

General team administrative activities including coaching, oversight of direct reports, and ensuring key performance metrics and goals are discussed and managed.

Such other duties and functions as the Company may assigned from time to time.

May be available to work some holidays and weekends.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree at minimum.

5 + years experience in treasury with some experience in accounts payable

MS excel proficient - experience with pivots, VLOOKUP’s and excel formulae.

Experience with Microsoft D365 ERP systems an asset.
