Globe 24-7 in partnership with a key client are working together to source experienced and qualified talent for their site in West Africa. This will be a Fly in Fly out role.
Responsibilities
Conduct grade control activities in the underground uranium mine.
Perform geological mapping of ore bodies and surrounding strata to identify mineralization trends and geological structures.
Log geological formations and ore samples accurately and efficiently.
Conduct sampling activities to assess uranium ore quality and distribution.
Interpret drill data and geological information to support mine planning and development.
Collaborate with mining engineers and other stakeholders to optimize production and ore extraction processes.
Maintain accurate records of geological data and contribute to geological models.
Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in all geological activities.
Provide training and guidance to junior geologists and mining staff as needed.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Geology, Geological Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in underground mining operations.
Proficiency in French and English languages, with strong communication skills.
Experience in grade control and ore sampling techniques.
Demonstrated ability to interpret geological data and contribute to mine planning.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in geological logging and mapping.
Ability to work effectively in a multicultural and multidisciplinary team environment.
Knowledge of safety regulations and practices in mining operations.
