Job Description

Ready Study Go in Cerritos, CA is looking for afterschool tutors to join our team of educators.

Interviewing & Hiring for a September start.

We are seeking a tutor to work with K-6 or 7-12 students in our after-school tutoring programs located in Cerritos. Tutors are placed with students in small groups and provide them with homework help, study skills, and subject-specific tutoring. We are looking for tutors who are passionate about education, enjoy working with elementary-aged children or teens, and want to be innovative and creative in their approaches to engaging students in learning.

Availability:

4-12 hours per week. Our program will operate 2-3 hours after school Mon-Fri.

Job Requirements:

Tutors must be able to teach English and math at an elementary level (through 6th grade) or a middle/high school level (7th-12th). Applicants still in school must have a GPA or 3.0 or higher, and have received a grade of B or higher in their most recent English and math classes (if not, please explain in a cover letter).

Pay: $15/hour

Ready Study Go provides after school tutoring through out Homework Assistance, Subject Tutoring, Focus on Foundations and Socratic Honors programs. We are about positive, supportive education – working to build real connections between students and their tutors so children feel supported and encouraged as they learn and are challenged to grow.

Locations & Services

We are currently located at various sites throughout the Cerritos area and offer online tutoring to students throughout the US. Additionally, we tutor privately, either in-home, or at a public library. We cater to grades K-12th.
