RESPONSIBILITIES

- Identify and develop process improvements to streamline reporting and improve team efficiency

- Formulate relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics, such as actual spend against budget (variance analysis), and critical financial metrics.

- Contribute to the preparation of GAAP financial statements, including budgeting and forecasting

- Deliver financial performance results to operational partners and senior leadership

- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and timely monthly close

- Advocate implementation and ensure adherence to accounting policies and procedures

- Enforce accountability and meeting of deliverable items

- Advanced preparation and coordination of fiscal year-end audits

- Develop diversified policies, procedures, and technical accounting analyses

REQUIREMENTS

- Bachelor of Accounting or Finance Degree

- 5 or more years of progressive, full cycle accounting experience

- Full ownership of monthly close procedures

- Great Plains accounting software knowledge, strongly preferred

- Knowledge of local tax filing requirements

- Demonstrated knowledge of GAAP standards

- Proven success as a "change agent"; encourage positive change to improved policies or procedures

- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written

- Strong analytical aptitude

- Occasional travel required within the regional area, approximately 2 days/month
