Digital Content Designer

ASI currently has a hybrid work model. This position requires in person attendance at our office in Trevose, PA on Tuesdays & Wednesdays.

In this role, the Digital Content Designer will creatively design and produce magazines, e-newsletters, online content, and custom publications.

Reporting directly to the Digital Art Director, the Digital Content Designer will join our editorial department and play a pivotal role in utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite to design layouts, create features/columns, and newsletters for ASI publications.

The pay range for this role is $60,000-$65,000.

Responsibilities:

Crafting visually engaging infographics by leveraging the Adobe Suite and online data platforms such as Flourish, DataWrapper, and Tableau.

Executing digital retouching and image manipulation and making necessary design changes and corrections as needed.

Designing web features and content for online publication including using HTML and CSS for web design, utilizing the Bootstrap framework, incorporating Java for animation and interactivity, and posting online stories to websites via the Umbraco content management system.

Designing logos, posters and other artwork as needed.

Providing assistance during photo shoots.

Editing videos.

Researching and securing talent for custom illustrations/photography.

Qualifications:

5+ years’ experience designing layouts for a magazine or publication.

AA in Design or related field required. BFA in Design or related field preferred, or equivalent work experience.

Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Dreamweaver.

Experience with web design tools HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, Java (animation/interactivity).

Experience with infographic design, print and online. Experience with interactive programs such as Flourish, Datawrapper, Tableau, etc.

WordPress experience.

Video creation/editing experience.
