Julie A Lorber, MD PC is hiring for a full-time with benefits Surgical Scheduler and Medical Assistant for our Summit location. This role is responsible for:
-Greeting patients/family, scheduling patient appointments, scheduling hospital and ambulatory procedures. Ensuring appropriate actions are taken in a timely manner
-Answering the telephone and dealing with callers needs in an expeditious manner. Taking accurate messaged and delivering the messages to the appropriate individual. Demonstrates appropriate telephone etiquette. Schedule future appointments, tests, and referrals as ordered by physician.
-Maintain communication resources, i.e. on-call schedule, MD phone numbers.
- Request medical records, as needed.
-Prepare paperwork for billing company for appropriate procedural and surgical billing.
- Monitor supply inventory. Complete requisitions to obtain supplies, forms, and equipment.
-Perform various clerical duties including: faxing, copying filing, mailing.
