About us
Property Maintenance Professionals performs necessary maintenance for properties managed by MGC Leasing & Property Management, which is a company that oversees the everyday operations of over 1,000 residential rental properties across the Kansas City Metro. We are a family-oriented company and have been in business for over 20 years!
Property Maintenance Professionals is looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, plumbing repair, electrical, and Make Ready Move-in prep. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities
Schedule and perform maintenance requests from residents and Property Managers
Report to Property Managers and coordinate access to units for repairs
Schedule third-party vendors for repairs as needed
Summarize work performed or needed via I-Pad on third-party software
Perform Semi-Annual Inspections on all units
Work with Property Manager to perform and schedule unit turnovers and prep for new move-ins
Track hours and receipts for work performed
Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping) and other tasks as assigned (painting, carpentry etc.)
Skills
Proven experience as a maintenance technician
Painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, appliance and HVAC repair. Certification in any of the fields mentioned a plus
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Good physical condition and strength
High school diploma or equivalent
