JAVA DEVELOPER-AUTOMATION

Java Developer with 3-5 years of experience to write and perform automation testing using Java for applications within our Foreign Exchange (FX) Line of Business in our Capital Market space. This position will help support the delivery of business needs via the Wallstreet product suite and will collaborate with internal partners to ensure efficiencies and value-added solution are properly and thoroughly tested and validated prior to any production release. As a Java Developer, you will apply innovative ideas to automate applications and ensure they are functioning smoothly. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of foreign exchange and be able to automate as much of the testing effort as possible.

Responsibilities:

• Write, design, execute, and analyze automation tests in Java supporting applications written in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices architecture.

• Automate and perform testing of functional, non-functional, API level, and UI testing.

• Analytically examine bug reports, prioritize necessary tests, and streamline application functions through automated testing processes

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and optimize software solutions.

• Strong verbal communication skills to effectively collaborate with the engineering team and create testing plans and written reports showing errors

• Drive automation initiatives to enhance application performance and efficiency.

• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to backend systems.

• Develop and Execute regression testing and integration testing in integration test environment.

• Conduct thorough testing and validation of implemented solutions to ensure they meet the desired outcomes and adhere to project specifications.

• Ownership and accountability of nightly automation runs and successful results.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams of Product Owners/ Product Managers and Business partners to test enhancements, understanding impact to current configuration and business partners, testing of changes, and supporting change management efforts.

• Attend daily scrum with team members, report and manage defects in JIRA to ensure that all issues are resolved according to guidelines and expectations.

• Work closely with the overall agile team in planning, coordinating, and implementing testing model on various phases of project.

• Maintain accurate documentation of testing requirements, specifications, and progress updates.

• Stay updated with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices related to foreign exchange and Wall Street operations.

Requirements:

• 3-5 years of experience in Java development

• Experience within foreign exchange or within capital markets domain

• Proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices.

Preferred Skills/Experience:

• Experience in UI automation for web applications

• Familiarity with reactive programming in Java (desirable).

• Experience working with databases such as Oracle and PostgreSQL.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile project environments is preferred.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
