About the Job

The Finance Controller position is critical for rebuilding our in-house Finance and Accounting (F&A) team from the ground up. The immediate priority is to fill this key role to manage our internal accounting tasks, which are currently outsourced. This role is based in Mumbai and will report directly to the CFO.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities (KRA)

1. Overall Accounting Management:

- Oversee day-to-day accounting functions.

- Ensure monthly close of books in ERP systems.

- Handle investment and payroll accounting, including reconciliations.

- Manage internal audit functions and update SOPs.

- Oversee year-end audit and tax audit processes.

2. Team Leadership and Development:

- Build and nurture a strong internal accounting team.

- Identify and develop a successor for the Finance Controller role.

3. Compliance and Reporting:

- Ensure adherence to statutory and legal compliances.

- Manage inventory reconciliation and statutory reporting.

- Facilitate timely completion of internal and external audits.

4. Systems and Process Improvement:

- Enhance and design organizational systems.

- Foster a culture of trust, mutual respect, operational excellence, and high performance.

- Advocate for necessary organizational changes for continuous improvement.

Mandatory Selection Criteria

- Experience:

- 10-12 years of post-qualification experience in a controllership role within a small to medium-sized manufacturing company.

- Significant large-scale ERP experience, preferably with Oracle or SAP.

- Experience in listed companies with a turnover of 100 to 150 crores is preferred.

- Education:

- Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.

- Technical Skills:

- Proficiency in Excel, Oracle/SAP, Microsoft PowerPoint, and knowledge of IFRS & IND-AS.

- Soft Skills:

- Strong problem-solving, leadership, communication, and coordination skills.

- Detailed and process-oriented mindset.

- Age Group:

- Targeted age range of 35-40 years.

- Other:

- Gender is not a consideration; workload expectations must be met.

- Candidates in GM or AGM roles with potential to fulfill controller duties are preferred.
