OVERVIEW:

The Business Auditor position is a key member of the Accounting Team who is responsible for reviewing accurate, timely accounting information used to report internally to management and executives and to the stakeholders in the US. The senior manager reviews, analyzes, and reconciles accounting activity and financial information. The senior manager contributes to improving processes, grooming, and motivating the team. Use of technology (RPA, Power BI, etc) by participating in projects. The position reports directly to the Director and is based in Gurgaon

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

Review accounting activities such as journal entries and account reconciliations

Review monthly reports and team activities

Working closely with the US stakeholders

Ensure strict month-end close deadlines

Stays current and knowledgeable on Generally Accepted Accounting Principles

Commits to strictly following all internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with SOX

Relates to and collaborates with other members of financial reporting teams

Performs other duties as assigned by the Management.

Evaluates processes for effectiveness and identifies areas for improvement and manage the training and transition of processes

Manage the workload, professional growth, and career path of team members

Drive operational change and efficiencies in projects, such as: Automating current manual accounting processes and interfaces to bolster efficiencies and improve internal controls

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

Graduate & above

3- 7 years of experience in areas of information technology, such as IT Audits, IT infrastructure, application reviews, and network/firewall testing.

Relevant certifications (CIA, CISA, or CISSP) preferred

Familiarity with COSO 2013, PCAOB auditing standards and ISO 27001

Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications with specific emphasis on Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint. Secondary emphasis on Visio and Access.

Data analytics is a plus.

Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with a diverse employee population

Strong risk management experience, including performing assessments and audits, working collaboratively with business and IT process owners designing controls for new lines of business/acquisitions and/or providing input to remediation plans (as necessary)

Superior project management skills

Strong analytical skills and a keen sense of professional skepticism.

Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with an interest in leadership opportunities.
