Key responsibilities:
The incumbent with be responsible for Sourcing of Agri Commodities for multiple plants in GAVL Animal Feed Business.
Incumbent should have in-depth knowledge and buying experience in various types of agri commodities and by-products.
Conduct Research and Analysis on domestic and international markets, price seasonality for making effective buying decisions.
Knowledge of transportation and warehousing for sourcing and moving material across geographies
Conduct detailed on-field crop surveys by travelling to source/producing markets and direct farmer interactions.
Contribute to business success by meeting On Time Delivery targets of RM and Ensure continuity of operations at all times.
Collaborate and partner with across functions and engage with external. Stakeholders to lead, influence, and facilitate effective execution of sourcing strategies.
Make best use of various technology platforms for buying efficiency e.g. SAP, Reverse Auction platform and Mobile apps.
Must respect Organizational value systems and ensure compliances ownership without requiring normal supervision to meet all control and reporting objectives.
Leverage GODREJ strengths in identifying and expanding a competitive vendor base. Conduct Supplier performance reviews based on business-critical metrics and scorecards.
Who are we looking for?
Education:
Graduate/ Postgraduate with prior relevant experience of min 3 – 4 years similar industries (Management Education preferable)
Experience:
Expertise in spend analytics, market intelligence, strategic sourcing and supplier performance management.
Extensive experience in Agri commodity Sourcing/Trading/Supply chain management in domestic as well as International markets
Willing to travel extensively across geographies and across crop seasons for market survey and vendor development.
Skills:
Knowledge of business applications like SAP MM, E-Auction platforms, Mobile Apps etc would be desirable.
