Responsible for performing assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment. Performs assembly work utilizing lean principles (one-piece flow) to produce FDA regulated devices in a controlled work environment.
Duties
Assemble components to include gluing, weaving, packaging, coiling, welding using various hand tools and bench top pneumatic presses
Handle and evaluate quality of small parts during manufacturing processes
Troubleshoot simple equipment malfunctions
Promote and support a safe working environment
Inform team lead/supervisor of any problems pertaining to production, parts, equipment, or processes
Ability to work effectively with others in a team environment
Supports and promotes LEAN operations by following standard work to include Safety Observations, Idea Generation and Hour by Hour Board updates

Standing/Walking expectation up to 70% - 100% daily
Education Degree
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Experience
Creative Arts/Crafty Capabilities (arts, weaving, musical instruments) background helpful
Skills
Communication - Ability to read, understand and communicate oral and written instructions in English.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to carry out detailed written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving parts and equipment variation while maintaining quality expectations. Ability to identify, communicate and trouble shoot problems.
Teamwork - ability to work effectively and collaboratively with other employees.
Computer Skills - Will be required to enter data at a computer terminal.
Mathematical Skills - Basic counting and arithmetic skills required.
