Nail Technician Responsibilities:
The ability to perform a wide range of nail care, following milk + honey protocols
Adherence to all Attendance and Punctuality policies in the handbook

Work Hours + Compensation:
Nail Technicians work a mixture of AM and PM shifts, including weekends and holidays.
Starts at 30%+ commission.

Position Summary:
The Nail Therapist performs a full spectrum of manicures, pedicures, massage and complementary treatments for spa clients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Duties include but are not limited to the following:
The ability to perform a wide range of nail care, following milk + honey protocols, including:
All manicure services, including healthy gel
All pedicure services
Seasonal services, new launch specials and promotions
Optional: nail art
Possess and be willing to display all relevant licensing, dedicated to keeping current on any licensing changes and abiding to all rules and regulations associated with license
Obtaining client health history through the use of client intake forms and/ or addendums, assessing problems and conditions and consulting with client on recommended treatments, intake forms should be returned to the front desk by the end of each shift
Recording detailed notes for all clients in the computer, within 48 hours of appointment date, including contraindications, allergies, medications, formulations used and treatment preferences and any notable client information
Actively and regularly participating in sales and marketing events and campaigns both inside and outside of the spa
A commitment to participating in assigned tasks that are designed to grow therapist business and create repeat client requests
Staying up-to-date and educated on spa retail lines and products and proactively promotes these products to spa clients,
Dedication to achieving and maintaining a retail to service sales ratio that is appropriate for the department
Maintaining correspondence with clients, including writing thank you notes and other treatment follow up communications to develop and retain repeat clients
Completing side work and closing duties as directed by Department Head or Manager
Drive to constantly improve the department and the spa
Commitment to seeking new opportunities and ways to please our clients and inspiring others to do the same

Qualifications
Qualifications and Experience:
State of Texas Cosmetology or Manicurist License
Special Considerations:
Ability to sustain reasonable physical activity for the duration of a scheduled shift
Ability to hear so as to effectively understand customers needs
Ability to lift up to 25lbs
Sensitivity to unnecessary waste of product and a willingness to act to reduce waste
