Position Overview Executive Sous Chef is a highly visible role and requires a thorough understanding of the catering operations, client expectations, and university resources to ensure that each event is successful.

The Executive Sous Chef is responsible for the flawless execution of each and every catering event on campus on his watch or assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in related field and four years' of professional related experience; or any equivalent combination of education, training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Maintains a visual sense of urgency at all times.

Able to quickly diagnose food operational problems and take immediate corrective action.

Communicates complex information with physical action and personal presence instead of relying solely on words.

Skill in performing under the stress of frequent interruptions and/or distractions.

Ability to prioritize.

Skill in working independently and following through on assignments with minimal direction.

Preferred Qualifications The preferred candidate will possess the following additional qualifications: Culinary Background or graduate from an accredited culinary school.

Required License/Registration/Certifications Job Duties: * % - Be responsible for efficient daily functioning of the department.

- * % - Assisting in kitchen management and reporting - * % - Staffing and training for all kitchen operations.

- * % - Streamlining and systemizing operations within existing as well as new ventures - * % - Formulating new ideas and evaluating opportunities - * % - Develop, maintain and effect necessary systems, manuals, formats, procedures, spreadsheets etc; in all aspects of kitchen operations - * % - Directly responsible for implementing and following department/culinary standards overseeing all culinary operations - * % - Responsible for managing all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation, and maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness - * % - Should monitor closely and continuously the activities of chefs de cuisines and ensure smooth running of the entire kitchen - Work Schedule: Hours Vary Driving University Vehicle: No Security Sensitive: This is a Security Sensitive Position.
