Total care is provided by RNs. Type of equipment : Ventilators, Alaris IV pumps, Balloon pumps, ventriculostomy drains, glucometers. Use of iMobile phones and technology by all staff in the hospital. PPE- includes mask s, face shields, goggles, gloves, PAPR’s and hoods for any suspected COVID-19 patient . Documentation system : Meditech using EBCD (Evidence Based Clinical Documentation) Scheduling requirements: All nursing shift are twelve hours from 7 to 7; every other weekend. Holiday requirements Floating policy: Nursing staff will float to other Medical-Surgical Units in the hospital as needed with priority focus on pulling to Intensive Care Units. Patient Experience requirements: Hourly rounding, bedside hand-off reporting, completion of “My Care Board” during hand-off report; use of AIDET with a focus on compassionate connected care. Hospital Specifics- Pathways to Excellence Certified Working toward Magnet status Certified Stroke Center Certified Chest Pain Center Level II Trauma Center H iring profile Requested Skill Set: Must have : Must be willing to care for COVID-19 patients, have ICU experience, p ositive attitude, flexibility, teamwork, desire for excellence, self-motivated, good communication and people skills, and ability to work in a diverse environment . Advanced skills needed: Ventilator management, critical care drip knowledge, thorough and accurate assessment skills, and proficient knowledge with cardiac, neuro, and respiratory systems . Procedures performed on unit : Intubations, cardioversions, ventriculostomy drain placement and management, IABP management, continual renal replacement therapy (CRRT), proning of patients. Certifications Required: ACLS and BLS ; TNCC is a plus Dress Code : (Required uniform) Ceil blue scrubs White or ceil blue scrub jacket optional If working with COVID patients, green surgery scrubs will be provided upon arrival to unit.
