Are you an Experienced Veterinary Assistant looking for full-time work? We are a small animal clinic who has been serving Loudoun County since 1978. We have five veterinarians on staff and see appointments Monday - Saturday. Our clinic only works with small animals; dogs and cats. We are looking for someone with at least one year of experience as a veterinary assistant/technician. Rotating evening shifts and Saturday shifts are required. A caring and compassionate attitude is required of all team members.

For all full-time employees benefits are included after 30-60 days. Job Responsibilities:

Provides care for animals, primarily dogs, and cats, under Veterinary supervision

Assisting the Veterinarian as he or she conducts examinations and diagnostic procedures

Use safe restraint technique

Ensures animals are fed and cared for

Maintain records

Complete laboratory tests and studies and diagnostic imaging

Take vital signs and collects samples

Administer medications, drugs, and preventatives

Obtain and verifies medications

Clean animal cages and equipment.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable with working on our hospital software system, AVImark.

Education and Experience Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience working as a veterinary assistant or in the animal health field. Willing to train motivated candidates.
