Position Purpose

This position provides the janitorial services for the school buildings.

Essential Functions

Conducts cleaning of corridors, cafeteria, rest rooms, shower rooms, according to departmental guidelines.

Cleans light fixtures.

Strips, scrubs and refinishes floors.

Cleans walls, furniture, blinds, and carpet during summer months or when school is not in session.

Performs snow removal from entranceways.

Assists maintenance personnel when required. Equipment

Uses hand tools of trade and related power equipment, including brooms, mops, floor cleaning and waxing machines, vacuum cleaners, snow blowers, and snow shovels.

Travel Requirements

Travel to school district buildings and professional meetings as required.

Pay Rate:

$15.38 per hour + .50 differential

Work Schedule

8 hours per day

260 days per year
