Dockside Pub is looking for an experienced Chef. We are looking for someone that can maintain and grow the business - order and inventory food - develop an amazing cooking team.
Job Duties:
Check freshness of food and ingredients
Supervise and coordinate activities of cooks and other food preparation workers
Develop recipes and determine how to present the food
Plan menus and ensure uniform serving sizes and quality of meals
Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas for cleanliness and functionality
Hire, train, and supervise cooks and other food preparation workers
Order and maintain inventory of food and supplies
Monitor sanitation practices and follow kitchen safety standards
set up and execute catered parties and buffets etc

Requirements
5+ years experience
Food cost, Inventory, and labor control
Bilingual is a plus
TEAMWORK and a GREAT attitude are required!
Must have flexible availability - Weekends & Holidays required
Accurately and efficiently teach how to cook meats, fish, vegetables and other hot food products
Ability to keep work area clean, organized and to code
Previous high volume experience preferred
