Summary

The Digital Operator is responsible for the running of all are digital printing and cutting equipment, and all other machines necessary for the production of digitally printed and cut materials.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Setup and run digital printing and cutting equipment while insuring best possible production speed and quality.

Watch for defects in the printing or cutting process

Monitor printing and cutting throughout the printing and cutting process

Direct helpers and other employees as needed

Use fork truck and other equipment to move stock and other supplies as needed

Read and understand job tickets

Help others as directed or when needed with print and other production

Watch for defects or problems during production runs, and inform operator of possible problems

Perform routine maintenance and assists with repairs of equipment

Flexibility to move between other jobs, job classifications and buildings as directed by management

Fosters a culture that values family, innovation, collaboration and empowerment

Follows all safety and workplace policies

Competencies and Skills

Know how to setup and run Digital printers and cutters

Understand the ink types and properties of each

Understand Dye sub printing as well as digital UV printing

Understand the transferring of dye sub printed materials

Understand the common material we cut and print and properties of each

Know how to use and operate fork trucks and other equipment need to arrange stocks and supplies.

Ability to direct other on the team as needed to increase productivity

Understand printing and print production including but not limited to file setup, printing, laminating, mounting, cutting and finishing

Ability to trouble shoot and solve problems that arise during production

Strong basic math skills

Demonstrated commitment to valuing diversity and contributing to an inclusive working

Must be able to wear required Personal Protective equipment (PPE) for extended periods of time

Ability to demonstrate and apply our workplace values

Education/Certification

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

2+ years of digital printing experience

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

Walking, sitting, bending, twisting, reaching, pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs. may be required throughout the workday
