# Job Overview: The Radiation Oncology department utilizes two external beam linear accelerators and 2 brachytherapy units to deliver radiation treatments for our patients.

Day to day, you will be responsible for providing care to radiation patients.

Our nursing staff demonstrates their knowledge, critical thinking, and judgment as expected by our many accreditations along with our partnership with MD Anderson.

Services provided by the#RN include; providing education to patients, following up on patient care, initial assessments, monitoring radiation treatment side effects, and assisting in non-invasive procedures.

# The Radiation Therapy Nurse plans, directs, delivers and evaluates patient care in Radiation Therapy under the direction of the Radiation Oncologist.# The Registered Nurse positively affects quality of patient care by functioning as a professional practitioner, consultant, educator, patient advocate and change agent throughout the Radiation Therapy Department.
