Job Specific Role Expectations

2nd Shift: Monday-Thursday 4:20pm-2:50am

Maintain dies and tooling to print specification as required.

Sharpen and shim dies with the supervision/support of a Toolroom Associate/Manager to die specifications

Heat treat all cutting tools to print specification

Perform machining duties as specified. Train/Mentor other associates in machining practices as required.

Perform preventative maintenance on dies to schedule (TRT)

Produce parts on a milling machine within .001" tolerance

Produce parts on a surface grinder within .0002" tolerance

Produce parts on a drill presses within .001" tolerance

Produce parts on a power saw within .03" tolerance

Hardness testers

Heat treat processes

Hole Popper

Product/Tooling Inspection techniques

Measuring devises (micrometer, calipers, dial indicators, combination square, comparator, gage blocks, etc.)

Mathematical ability (including trigonometry)

Forklift license

Benchwork

Blueprint reading

Quality Management System (QS 9000 & TS16949 )

Crane license

Lock-out tag-out (authorized)

IERP

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Machinist Apprenticeship or 6 years experience
