East Haven Nursing & Rehabilitation Center is a 200-bed facility servicing the North East Bronx Community. East Haven offers short term rehab, sub-acute care and nursing home care, as well as offering in-house hospice care. Caring is our Commitment is our motto and we are seeking a Cook with the same dedication

The Cook prepares, portions, and presents food according to therapeutic diets, following standardized recipes and special diet orders. Follow sanitation standards in accordance with New York City food safety guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience in kosher cooking a plus

• Knowledge of food protection and storage, preparation and cooking temperatures, hot and cold holding, and food sanitation preferred

• LTC experience preferred

• COVID-19 vaccination is mandated unless appropriate medical exemption is provided

• Every other weekend a must
