Head of Machine Learning

HEAD OF ML FOUNDING TEAM ONSITE NYC Up to $400k

Realm are partnered with an NYC-based startup that has recently raised its Series A and is looking to scale.

Right now they're on the lookout for a Head of Machine Learning to join the team. Initially this role will include a lot of IC/hands-on work, but has a clear scope to build out a team around this hire and lead the ML operations of the company.

What they're looking for:

This person will have a leadership mentality, comfortable with ownership and autonomy

Someone who's been in ML for 4 -5 years

Scrappy mindset, taking things from 0-1, someone who enjoys start ups and likes the idea of a close knit team working 5 days a week onsite

ML stack will largely be determined by this hire, but current tech stack is:

Infra: AWS, Azure, GPUs (across clouds/providers)

Languages: Go, JS, Python

Foundation Models: GPT-4, Claude 3 Opus, Llama 3

Tools: Docker, Kubernetes, CUDA, PyTorch, LlamaIndex, Hugging Face

ONNX

Interview process: 4 stage (1 stage onsite in office)

Compensation: Up to $400k base + equity
