SCHOOL PROFILE
The SEED School of Maryland is a statewide, public, college-preparatory boarding school that opened in August 2008. The School has enrolled 400 students in grades six through twelve. The SEED School is an extraordinary educational opportunity for students across the state to receive a tuition-free, college-preparatory, boarding education.
The SEED School of Maryland combines a rigorous and engaging academic curriculum with life skills and enrichment activities to provide students with a thoughtfully balanced learning and living experience. Students and their families commit to a seven-year educational program that offers small class sizes, high quality teaching and learning experiences, mentoring, community service, and extracurricular activities such as sports and arts. The SEED School is centered around its character values: compassion, self-discipline, integrity, respect for oneself and others, responsibility, honesty, and self-determination. The SEED School staff are in partnership with parents, families, and communities to guide and support student success. The School follows a typical academic school year calendar.
SUMMARY
The Cyber SEED Center Director is responsible for setting the vision and tone for the space and its programs. They oversee the day-to-day operations of the facility as well as manage the schedule and calendar of programs. Additional duties include overseeing acquisition and installation of equipment, selection of curriculum, support of educators, recruitment of students, and networking with technology community members through outreach and events.
This position reports to the Director of Academics.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Physical Facilities, Maintenance, and Safety
or coordinate opening of the Cybers SEED Center daily

2. Program Structure and Quality

the annual Master Calendar for all Cyber SEED Center programs and events

that program evaluation components such as surveys, portfolios, etc. are being properly administered and completed and participate in evaluation strategy planning and feedback
that work being done in the Tech Center programs is documented via blog posts and shared resources.
3. Outreach and Enrollment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
a Master’s Degree and a minimum of six years of classroom teaching experience.

Maryland State Board of Education professional teaching certificate in secondary education and appropriate to the area of assignment is required
Security+ and professional certs (e.g., CISSP, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)) relevant and of interest, but not required.
