Element6's client in the design engineering/consulting industry is looking for a Project Manager to join their team in Arlington, TX.
Primary Responsibilities:
Learn and apply Company methodology/design standards for Baggage Handling Systems/Checked Baggage Inspection Systems (BHS/CBIS)
Develop mechanical system designs in a 3D environment
Produce high quality design documents required for delivery to client
Assist Project Engineers and Leaders with their project tasks and coordination
Assist with design coordination across a multi-disciplined team of architects and engineers
Assist in reviewing contractor’s mechanical submittals
Assist in performing document evaluation for peer reviews as required
Participate in on-site system evaluations, testing, and site surveys
Assist in answering RFIs/provide clarifications to contractors
Assist in the production of project reports as required
Follow BIM guidelines, plans, and best practices
General Requirements:
Have the capacity to be attentive to details while seeing the project holistically
Have initiative to complete project tasks with limited direction from project leaders
Have the ability to manage tasks across more than one project
1-2 years of demonstratable engineering design experience with baggage handling systems or other relevant systems
Professionally licensed or the ability and willingness to obtain license is preferred but not required
Good Communication skills to explain technical issues on a general level
Experience with 3D design software (Revit and AutoCAD experience are a plus)
Working knowledge of additional Autodesk software (examples: Navisworks and ReCap)
Ability to understand construction documents
Bluebeam Revu skills are preferred but not required
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point
Ability to problem-solve and make sound decisions
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Educational Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university or relevant experience in system design
Travel Requirements:
Travel will be required periodically (approximately 15 - 20%). The amount of travel per month will vary depending on the number of projects and the specific phases and tasks for those projects.
Must be able to receive security clearance for work within an airport environment
