What will your role be?

As a Supply Chain Manufacturing Engineer (SCME), you'll be integral to refining procurement processes and optimizing manufacturing efficacy. Your collaboration with the procurement team will drive strategic initiatives and streamline supply chain operations, emphasizing technical precision and engineering expertise.

Activities:

Serve as the primary technical conduit between procurement and the supply chain network

Develop and validate meticulous technical specifications for items involved in work transfer activities and relocation packages

Spearhead process enhancement initiatives within the procurement domain, leveraging engineering insights

Conduct rigorous technical assessments of industrial concepts, evaluating feasibility and performance

Scrutinize supplier offers for production efficiency, setup times, and optimization prospects

Analyze and scrutinize technical and commercial component data alongside manufacturing processes

Lead cost optimization initiatives with suppliers, employing design-to-cost methodologies and lean principles

Execute detailed shop floor assessments at supplier facilities, ensuring technical compliance and efficiency

Drive the implementation and oversee the efficacy of improvement measures at supplier sites

Assess and approve proposals for new process updates, ensuring alignment with technical standards and operational objectives

What skills and qualifications are we looking for?

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline

Demonstrate proficiency in manufacturing composite and/or metallic materials, with hands-on experience preferred

Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of production and manufacturing processes, including industry best practices

Command familiarity with engineering concepts such as lean manufacturing, focused factory, and six sigma methodologies

Maintain a keen awareness of compliance risks and exhibit an unwavering commitment to acting with integrity, recognizing its foundational role in organizational success and sustainable growth

Demonstrated effective communication skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and prioritize duties to meet deadlines
