Strategic Vice President of Application and Data

CornerStone TTS is looking for a Strategic VP of Application and Data Engineering to join our IT Team in Frisco, Texas. This role involves leading a local team and coordinating with distributed stakeholders and other near-shore direct reports. Travel up to 15% may be required depending on business needs for clients.

We are in search of a strategic VP of Application and Data Engineering to lead our IT team. Your responsibilities will include directing the creation and implementation of scalable ERP software solutions, Human Capital Management (HCM) systems, and AI components while managing our data engineering team. Collaboration with senior executives, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders will be crucial.

Responsibilities

- Formulate strategies for application and data engineering teams aligned with company objectives.

- Mentor and enable software and data engineers, emphasizing innovation and client orientation.

- Establish and appraise team objectives and metrics consistently.

- Attract, educate, and retain top talent to fulfill strategic imperatives.

- Set and enforce standards for software development and data governance, ensuring adherence to regulations.

- Supervise software and data platform lifecycles to ensure scalability and dependability.

- Spearhead the development of secure applications utilizing Microsoft cloud technologies, ERP systems, HCM solutions, and AI components.

- Define and maintain data standards to ensure organizational reliability.

- Promote the integration of new technologies to enhance team productivity.

- Oversee project budgets, resources, and schedules to ensure stakeholder contentment.

- Foster cooperation among senior management, product leaders, engineers, and stakeholders.

- Offer insights into emerging trends in software and data engineering, especially in ERP and HCM development.

Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Possesses over 15 years of hands-on experience in software development and data engineering, with more than 10 years in leadership roles.

- Demonstrates a consistent history of delivering sophisticated software solutions and data platforms that align with business and customer requirements.

- Proficient in leveraging Microsoft cloud technologies, including Azure DevOps, Power BI, and Dynamics 365.

- Well-versed in utilizing Snowflake Data Warehouse or comparable solutions.

- Deep understanding of best practices in software and data engineering, particularly in ERP and HCM systems.

- Knowledgeable about data strategy, governance frameworks, and effective data management practices.

- Exhibits exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

- Capable of inspiring and managing diverse teams while effectively handling multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
