Help Desk Support Technician

Philadelphia, PA

Onsite

6 Month Contract

The Help Desk Support Technician plays a crucial role in providing technical assistance and support to end-users within an organization. They address various IT-related issues, ensuring smooth operations and efficient resolution of problems.

Responsibilities:

Account Management:

Manage user accounts on all servers, including adding, removing, and maintaining accounts.

Handle password changes, account resets, and account removals for employees whose jobs have been terminated.

Inventory Management:

Assist with terminated employee equipment:

Safely handle equipment removal and breakdown.

Update inventory records accordingly.

Conduct quarterly audits to maintain accurate inventory records.

Computer Refresh and Returns:

Manage computer refresh cycles.

Process tickets for equipment returns.

Collaboration and Documentation:

Collaborate with senior network engineers to optimize network performance.

Document all resolved tickets accurately and in a timely manner.

Additional Responsibilities:

Participate in acquisitions and special projects.

Maintain an organized lab environment and server room.

Qualifications:

Work with spreadsheets using tools such as ServiceNow, Excel, and SharePoint.

Be open to using Jira for issue tracking and project management.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Technical proficiency in software and hardware troubleshooting.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Willingness to learn and adapt to new tools and technologies.
