Title: Sr Workday Integration Developer

Location: San Jose, CA

Duration: FTE

SUMMARY:

Our direct client is searching for a Sr Workday Integration Developer to work closely with the IT team to design, develop, and deploy various technical requirements. These requirements include deployment of new projects & enhancements, integrations between Workday and adjacent systems within the technical landscape, as well as providing day-to-day systems support key business partners.

The Sr. Integration Developer will have knowledge of core design principles, common data modeling and patterns, project implementation methodology, and a successful track record of delivering proven results.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design, develop, implement, and maintain technical solutions to support and meet business goals and objectives.

Proactively identify and recommend opportunities for improvement and optimization.

Serve as a technical expert for solutions within the products/domains supported and is responsible for translating business needs into system design, proof-of-concept, data analysis, testing and deployment activities. Ensure consistency across systems in data transformation, mapping, and processes.

Develop and adhere to configuration and optimization standards. Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including design documents, change records, and run books.

Support the accuracy and integrity of data by ensuring integrations comply with data security, privacy, compliance, and regulatory standards.

Proactively monitor integrations, perform maintenance, and conduct troubleshooting of issues to minimize downtime and increase performance.

Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to facilitate and resolve issues. • Interface with cross functional team members and communicate at the appropriate technical level for each audience.

Thoroughly understand and comply with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures and verify that deliverables meet requirements.

Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Information Systems and/or equivalent relevant experience.

Minimum of five years of experience in a Lead / Architect role related to WD Integration development in Core HCM and/or Talent/Recruiting domains required.

5+ years of demonstrated ability with data migration, integration development, report building, or software development.

Advanced understanding and experience of the complete software implementation lifecycle - including integrations requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and move to production.

Must demonstrate a high understanding of Payroll and Time Tracking/Absence business concepts, processes, and IT implications and options.

Demonstrated competence using the Workday Report Writer

Active Workday Implementer Certification or Workday PRO Certification is a huge plus.

Advanced skills with Workday integration technologies such as EIB, Document Transformation, and Workday Studio is a huge plus.

Experience taking a leadership role within a software, system, or application implementation.

Advanced skills with EDI, Web Services, XML, XSLT, Java, .Net or other integration technology

You should excel at explaining complex concepts in simple terms and understanding customer procedures.

You are curious about how things work and love solving puzzles.
