Job Purpose:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Principal Technical Product Lead for Digital Key to join our growing team. As a technical product lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our Digital Key and connected products, from ideation to launch and beyond. You will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical specifications, working closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products, and championing the user experience.
Key accountabilities:
Translate business requirements into clear and concise technical specifications that
align with our overall product vision. Lead code and architecture review.
Program/Code prototype solutions to check the technical or customer value of new proposals.
Collaborate with product management, engineering, design, and marketing teams to define product strategy, roadmap, and feature prioritization.
Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that products are developed in a timely and efficient manner.
Manage product documentation and ensure that it is up-to-date and accurate.
Conduct market research and analyze user feedback to identify opportunities for product improvement.
Stay up-to-date on emerging technologies and trends that may impact our products.
Champion the user experience (UX) and ensure that products are easy to use and delightful to interact with.
Minimum educational qualification:
An undergraduate or graduate level degree with concentration in Computer Science / Wireless Communications / Electronics / EE and/or related field of study.
Other Job specific qualifications
10 or more years of experience working in the software and technical areas.
7 or more years of experience as a Technical Product Manager.
Strong experience with CCC key consortium and strong understanding of the interactions.
iOS / Android certification for connected systems (digital key, CarPlay / AndroidAuto)
Lead development of Digital Key solution using Bluetooth (BT), Near Field Communication (NFC) and Ultra Wide Band (UWB) technologies. Developed key authentication, key sharing, assigning key to a user profile and removing a key use cases.
Proficiency with IDEs (Android/JetPack, Cocoa/Swift, Python)
Experience and knowledge of authentication and authorization workflows using standards like OAuth and encryption standards.
Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
Strong understanding of software development methodologies.
Understanding of mobile application optimizations such performance and memory optimizations, debugging memory leaks and caching.
Able to think outside the box for solutions that meet the time and requirements
Able to modify and program GUI based solutions. Strong understanding of user. experience (UX) principles and design methodology.
Excellent planning and communication skills
Strong specification writing skills
Strong teamwork skills
Ability to work with software developers to meet project goals and timelines
Understanding of Agile principles and methodologies and experience implementing and adapting them to fit the team's needs.
