QA Test Lead

Starting as contract through December 2024

Atlanta, Georgia (Hybrid)

Our Fortune 100 Consulting partner is looking to bring on Software QA Test Leads for a health insurance project. This person will be responsible for team leadership as well as manual and automation testing. The majority of testing work will be in system and integration testing. Responsibilities:

Work closely and collaboratively with business partners, project management and vendor technical delivery teams to understand business requirements.

Oversee progress of other testers and collaborate with other Team Leads and management on strategies for success.

Report and track defects, issues, and risks related to enterprise applications.

Help in evaluating and improving the test processes and methodologies for enterprise applications.

Prepare test plans and validate test results against the business requirements.

Prepare the test data and ensuring its availability, integrity, and relevance.

Set up and configure test environments, including software installations, hardware configurations and network setups.

Define test metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the testing strategy and identifying areas for improvement.

Perform QA Testing in the following areas: Mainframe Testing, JCL Batch Testing, SQL queries & testing, Healthcare experience, Automation testing – Selenium, Cypress.

Collaborate with the testing, development, and business teams to ensure the effectiveness of tests.

Qualifications:

5 years minimum experience with testing in software development projects.

1 year minimum of leadership experience (formal or informal)

5 years minimum experience with automation testing using Selenium and/or Cypress

5 years minimum experience with SQL for software testing

Previous healthcare or health insurance experience is highly preferred

Knowledge of quality assurance concepts and best practices

Jira (or similar tool) knowledge for creating test plans, test cases, defects, dashboards etc

Experience with STLC, Waterfall and Agile methodologies
