The Digital Asset Specialist will report directly to the Senior Director, Creative Services, and work with internal teams and outside vendors to edit and manage the marketing assets that represent the individual brands to our global licensees and consumers. When appropriate they will manage the retouching process with the use of an outside vendor(s). The Digital Asset Specialist will demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices in photo retouching and digital asset management, high attention to detail and strong organizational skills. This role is responsible for much of the day-to-day operations of the digital asset management system (DAM) and onsite servers utilized by USPA Global and its Licensees.

Responsibilities

ASSET MANAGEMENT:

catalog and maintain digital assets for all brands represented by USPA Global including U.S. Polo Assn., National Polo Center, USPA Pro, and USPA Fragrance

and maintain proper file naming conventions across all channels

and maintain metadata on all assets

add appropriate keywords and maintain digital assets on our chosen DAM system, Asset Bank

archives of RAW photos/videos on the USPA Global servers

photo requests from all departments in USPA Global

RETOUCHING:

a high volume of new photography, select appropriate photos and coordinate the post-production process

and enhance product and lifestyle photography using photo editing software(s) to enhance images by cropping, correcting composition, tone, color, saturation and brightness, retouching a variety of fabrics and adding or removing items from an image to meet the brand aesthetic and storytelling goals

retouching tasks within specified deadlines; demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail

consistency in color correction and exposure across all visual assets

external vendor(s) for retouching of photo assets when necessary

with the USPA Global legal department to ensure assets meet compliance standards

GENERAL:

maintain quality and attention to detail while handling a high volume of assets

informed of industry trends, technology innovations and best practices in photography and digital asset management

the Marketing & Creative teams to increase productivity and workflow efficiency

ability to self-manage multiple projects as part of a team serving stakeholders across in-office, remote and world-wide locations

Requirements

degree in photography, Graphic Design, Marketing, or related field preferred.

3 years experience in data asset management and photo retouching, ideally with a background in beauty or fashion

submit a portfolio that clearly demonstrates high-quality photo retouching skills, specifically retouching skin, apparel, and product images. Before and after examples will be required.

in Adobe Creative Suite on Mac OS platform. Specifically: Photoshop, Bridge and Lightroom

in CaptureOne

with Data Asset Management Systems. Asset Bank (DAM) experience is a plus.

in Microsoft Office software suite: PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams and Google suite of software. Specifically: Slides and Sheets
