IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY

Busy Brooklyn law firm is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney.

RUSSIAN SPEAKING IS A MUST.

The candidate must be knowledgeable in all aspects of immigration cases, such as, Cancellation of Removal, Asylum, Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJS) cases, Naturalization, Family Petition, Adjustment of Status, VAWA, U-Visas and nonimmigrant visas (H-1B, L-1, E-1/2/3, J), immigrant visas (PERM, EB-1).

Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide legal representation to individuals on immigration matters including representation in court appearances.

Conduct thorough consultations with clients and make appropriate referrals to outside agencies and prepping sessions with clients for interviews with immigration judges.

Supervise the work of paralegals in recordkeeping and document preparation.

Preparing documents in client’s file.

Managing legal documentation and correspondence confidentiality.

Drafting motions, orders, judgments and status updates.

Qualifications and Skills:

Admission to the bar in the state of New York which you need to practice.

At least 3 years' of experience or expertise is preferred.

Ability to demonstrate attention to detail.

Detail-oriented, self-starter with the ability to multi-task.

Work independently, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment.

Have work authorization in United States.

Only NY office is seeking the position.

Bilingual is a plus

Experience: at least 3 years' experience is preferred; asylum case experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

This is an in-person position which requires you to be IN the office and to attend hearings and interviews in immigration court.

We have multiple office locations in Queens/Long Island/Brooklyn.
