Yamaha has an excellent opportunity for a Regional Credit Manager (RCM) to join our team in Cypress, CA.

The Regional Credit Manager will be responsible for leading and developing the Installment Underwriters, Card Analysts, and Loan Processors.

They will be responsible for new loan originations, credit quality, and dealer servicing while leading all funding and operations activities for the Dealer Service Center.

They will ensure that new contract packages are reviewed and processed according to established policies, procedures and service level expectations.

Measures of accountability include call servicing metrics, decision turn times, dealer satisfaction levels, credit exception %, activation %, and underwriting audit scores.

What you'll be doing: * Manage team of Installment Underwriters, Card Analysts, and Loan Processors to deliver outstanding dealer & consumer service while accomplishing business objectives.

This includes manage staffing, direct team's priorities & activities, evaluate performance and train & develop staff.

* Manage team of servicing & credit analysts processing revolving (credit card) loans.

* Provide review and guidance to credit and funding team members on problem loans requiring funding exceptions.

* Establish appropriate operational risk controls; and perform regular quality assurance of underwriting activity to ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures.

* Handle escalated credit applications that fall outside of credit policy guidelines and make final adjudication.

* Develop and analyze reports and production activity to identify trends in credit quality, customer service, and production efficiencies.

* Act as site leader for Dealer Service Center (DSC) staff.

* Lead special projects, and present project status and results to Senior Management.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

What you'll need to be successful: * BA / BS degree is a plus.

* 5+ years' experience of subprime underwriting in a consumer lending business.

* 3+ years' experience concurring on others' credit decisions and/or handling of escalated applications.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Excellent underwriting skills - makes quality credit decisions, able to easily read & understand credit bureaus, exhibits strong attention to detail, quickly grasps problem situations, creates win-win solutions, and has a firm understanding of applicable federal and state consumer lending regulations.

* Must possess strong analytical and quantitative skills.

* Team focus with high degree of interpersonal skills * Acute problem-solving ability required.

* Must have strong written and verbal communication skills * Strong proficiency in MS Office (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, etc.) * Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and overtime.

(Note: Expectation is that this position will work 1 to 3 weekends monthly, depending on peak season.) * Ability to travel up to 10% at management's discretion.
