Position Summary The Operations Logistics Lead supports the Supervisor in inventory control and materials movement while ensuring the team is following procedures that will aid in meeting the Company's objectives for cost-effective utilization of materials, safety, quality and on-time delivery of product and parts.

The Lead is responsible for training and monitoring warehouse employees to ensure they understand and follow all work instructions, perform work efficiently, accurately, and safely, while following good housekeeping procedures.

Position Responsibilities May include.

* Support the Supervisor by assisting with leading the department in receiving, storage and shipping of finished goods, accessories, and service parts to accomplish daily goals and objectives.

* Train and direct employees on how to safely operate the forklifts and reach trucks to efficiently transfer products without causing damage, proper use of the scanners, computer system, and shipping of material.

* Process factory transfers and outbound FTLs using WMS and complete LTL and Will Calls * Assist with warehouse inventory and resolve inventory inaccuracies.

* Responsible for timely and accurate completion of daily transactions and reports * Control damage and inventory by safe handling of product and ensuring correct product, quantity, and location of transfers.

* Identify areas of opportunities and participate in implementing continuous improvement processes.

* Communicate any urgent items to supervisor/manager immediately.

* Always demonstrate commitment to all safety and quality standards.

* Attend and participate in daily safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies.

* Complete daily Pre & Post shift Forklift / Reach Truck inspections * Follow Good Housekeeping: Warehouse upkeep through sweeping and keeping area(s) clean and organized.

* May provide guidance and training to others.

* Mentor and coach new warehouse employees * Work in other DC locations in Houston as needed * Perform other tasks as assigned Nature & Scope: * Oversees a group of employees and ensures job is done correctly * Provides daily objectives * Guides team at task level to ensure company goals are met * Is recognized as an expert in own area within a department * Provides mentoring and training for new employees Knowledge & Skills: * Demonstrated working knowledge warehouse systems and practices; processing inbound and outbound FTLs, Will Calls, WMS and scanning equipment.

* Working knowledge and certifications of operating forklifts and reach trucks (Requires successful completion of in-house training and certification). * Must be able to operate industrial trucks safely and efficiently while following all safety protocols and work instructions to transfer products timely and without causing damage.

* Strong knowledge of PKMS, MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, & MAPICS * Must be able to effectively communicate verbally and written with both internal and external customers and departments.

* Ability to train, coach and mentor others, ability to develop positive working relationships among employees.

* High level of attention to detail and data accuracy * Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.

* Strong problem-solving skills and compliance oriented.

* Results orientated, dedication to excellence and sense of urgency to achieve.

* Ability to apply good judgement, decision-making skills, strong work ethics and integrity on the job.

Experience: * 5+ years of warehouse experience and operating industrial lift trucks.

Education/Certification • High School diploma or GED * Forklift and Reach Truck certification (successful completion of in-house training and certification) People Management: No Physical Requirements / Work Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations Reports To: Logistics Operations Supervisor Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
