Position Type: Maintenance/Custodial/Maintenance General Date Posted: 7/17/2023 Location: District Additional Information: Show/Hide Date: July 17, 2023 From: Office of the Superintendent Subject: Vacancy Position: Maintenance - District Pennsauken Public Schools is an urban/suburban Pre-K to 12th grade school district of approximately 5,000 students located in Camden County, New Jersey Qualifications: * High School Diploma or GED * Must have own transportation * Must be able to read, write and verbalize work-related directions and instructions with sufficient skills to perform effectively * Must be physically able to fully perform all required maintenance duties including working from ladders and scaffolding * Prefer to have and maintain a current New Jersey Black Seal Boiler Operators License, if not, must acquire Black Seal License within 12 months of employment * Must possess and maintain a valid New Jersey motor vehicle driver's license * Must be able to fulfill most of the duties outlined in the School District's Maintenance "A" job description * Knowledge of air conditioning and refrigeration preferred * Knowledge of heating and HVAC controls preferred * Knowledge of plumbing preferred * Must pass the NJ Criminal History Review Unit Fingerprinting requirement * New Jersey State residency requirements for public employees in effect Terms: * 12-Month Position * Salary, terms and conditions of employment per AFSCME contract Applications are accepted on-line only.
