ROLE SUMMARY
The Payroll and Disbursement Accountant will oversee DOXA’s payroll, ensuring that employees are paid accurately and on time. This role is also responsible for processing disbursements of supplier invoices approved for payment and reimbursements. The role, which is under the Finance Team, will support US and Philippine entities and report to the Corporate Controller.
SCHEDULE: 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM Philippine Standard Time, follows Philippine holidays

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform the following payroll functions:
o Perform and oversee activities for end-to-end payroll processing
o Perform pre- and post-payroll validations of attendance records and ensure adherence to HR policies
o Review HR changes, including validations of new hires, terminations, rate changes
o Act as the POC for internal partners to discuss and answer questions raised through the payroll mailbox
o Perform reconciliation of payroll in accordance with month-end and year-end requirements
o Ensure that payroll and tax documents are accurate
Perform the following general accounting functions:
o Prepare journal entries and review transactions of the assigned accounts
o Prepare reconciliation schedules and resolve open items before the next month-end close
o Manage accounting records and prepare analysis as required by the management
Perform the following accounts payable functions:
o Review payment vouchers for accuracy and track transactions related to billable to the client
o Process disbursements and reimbursements
o Prepare disbursement summaries for online approval of the President of Philippines entity
Perform the following treasury functions:
o Process bank uploads per payroll and disbursements cycle
o Manage bank accounts used for disbursements (peso savings and USD accounts)
o Coordinate with banks for remittances and wire transfer concerns
QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy, preferably a Certified Public Accountant
Must have at least 4 years of experience handling Payroll with a headcount of at least 500 employees
Preferably with at least 2 years of experience in general accounting, accounts payable, and treasury
Experience working in a multinational company or handling a US-based entity is an advantage
Excellent accounting software user; a background in Xero or Quickbooks is a must
Experience in handling HRIS or other payroll/HR system
Advanced skill in Microsoft Excel an advantage
Analytical skills with particular attention to detail
Ability to function in an autonomous environment—independent worker, self-directed
