Test Engineer

JOB SUMMARY:

· The Test Engineer’s job is to provide test support for continuous improvement of factory operations through – ( 1 ) provisions of expert equipment failure root cause analysis and fix, and ( 2 ) the delivery of training for continued personnel capability uplift, and ( 3 ) the conceptualization, design, and documentation of equipment modification / add-ons to achieved testing integrity, testing accuracy and reliability maintenance. He is also tasked to interface with Equipment Sustaining, Product and Process Engineering, divisional contacts and equipment vendors.

DUTIES & RESPOSIBILITIES

Ø Reviews equipment performance trend and conducts root cause analysis of major or recurring failure. Base on findings, he conceptualize, designs and implements needed fixes, improvements and modification on the test equipment for the purpose of bringing equipment stability.

Ø Maintains controls and updates test program and software as prescribed in the product specification and customer requirements.

Ø Defines and documents prescribed equipment maintenance system and procedures including preventive maintenance ( PM ) and calibration, routine maintenance procedure, quality and process control system and the like. He is accountable for proper documentation through the generation and review of the applicable equipment specification and ensuring proper understanding of this specs by concern plan personnel.

Ø Acts as Equipment and Process Engineer at back-end test operations, maintaining smooth process flow while targeting maximum machine uptime.

Ø Acts as the unquestioned expert and source of technical knowledge/ information on his area/ equipment. In this capacity, he works with Product Engineer, Process Engineer and other internal and divisional counterparts or equipment affecting the operation or equipment in his area. He is likewise the primary resource for the training and continued skills uplift or new existing technicians and engineers.WORK QUALIFICATIONReports directly to the Senior Test Engineer.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· Must be a graduate of Electronics and Communication, Electrical, Computer Engineering.

· At least with exposure on troubleshooting of boards equipment and test jig or fixture.

· Knowledge in digital electronics, test instruments and / or computer hardware and software.

· Preferably with 2-3 years experience as test engineer or alike in a semi-conductor / electronics manufacturing firm.
