Job Summary:
An IT TECHNICAL SUPPORT is responsible for providing IT technical support for a full range of business technology, including computer systems (hardware and software), network infrastructure, telecommunications circuits and mobile devices. He must be able to independently create a support ticket, asses to a reported problem or failure using diagnostic methods and tools, determine the likely cause and take appropriate action to resolve the problem in a timely manner.
Job Description:
• Provides technical support for internal end users on a variety of hardware and software problems including operating system support, application support, and network access problems
• Maintains IT Help Desk tracking system occasionally; inputs problem description, troubleshooting notes, root cause analysis, and provide recommendation in IT Help Desk tracking system
• Works closely with Network Administrator to diagnose and troubleshoot network outages, maintain network configuration for users and their components/cabling, maintain user accounts and reboots servers and routers as approved by IT Manager
• Conduct semi-annual preventive maintenance on all computer and network equipment
• Maintains and monitor IT assets lifecycle
• Provide occasional weekend support
Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree holder in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology or other computer-related courses.
• At least 1 year of relevant experience in a customer focused position involving technical knowledge of a company’s products and services
• Background in configuring network switches, Wireless Routers, Firewall, and Endpoint Security System preferred but not required.
• Good written and interpersonal skills are essential when communicating with customers and clients
• Ability to prioritize and manage several milestones and projects efficiently
• Must be willing to work onsite in Sucat, Paranaque City
