SUMMARY OF JOB:
The main duty of a Mechanical Supervisor is to ensure that all mechanical-related works and activities are implemented in accordance to the standards set by the company.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Below are some, but not limited to, the duties and responsibilities of a Mechanical Supervisor:
1. Works with project engineering to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and modified installations
2. Guides efforts to ensure reliability and maintainability of equipment, processes, utilities, facilities, controls and safety/security systems
3. Conducts vibration analysis
4. Assists on-site balancing
5. Monitors productivity of Production department on Antipolo site
6. Facilitates training of personnel on balancing, vibration and alignment
7. Assists in technical evaluation in mechanical works
8. Provides standards and tolerances for mechanical works
9. Creates methodology for specific mechanical testing procedure and activity
10. Oversees machine shop activities
11. Researches new procedures for certain mechanical works
12. Researches new equipment and/or instruments that can enhance mechanical works
13. Facilitates training of personnel on balancing alignment and vibration analysis
14. Prepares root cause analysis of breakdown units
15. Prepares technical analysis of problematic units
16. Researches new technologies on mechanical products
17. Explains to the clients vis-à-vis the process of mechanical activities that will be done on the unit
18. Conducts performance evaluation of mechanical personnel
19. Assist in promoting company’s services to prospects and potential clients
QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
1. Graduate of 4-year course preferably Mechanical Engineering or any related to the field
2. Has at least 5 years of experience in maintenance, reliability or power plant
3. Knowledgeable on machine shop systems and activities
4. Knowledgeable on the step-by-step procedure of assembling and dismantling of motors and/or generators with respect to their loads
5. Knowledgeable on the use of computers and software applications relevant to the position (i.e. MS Office, AutoCAD, etc.)
6. Has good organizational and leadership skills
7. Reliable and can work with minimal to no supervision
8. Flexible and willing to work beyond the working hours
9. Can easily follow instructions provided by the supervisor
10. Has a good communication and interpersonal skill that can work well with others
11. Fast learner and willing to be trained
