Primary Responsibilities

The Pricing and Data Analyst will play a pivotal role in providing data analysis and developing pricing strategies and models that align with market demands and operational capabilities. This role will require an in-depth understanding of distribution, carrier rate platforms, and other analytical tools to interpret and provide pricing recommendations to leadership. Essential Functions

DUTIES, TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Organizes and analyzes large datasets using Excel, BI tools, and proprietary rating utilities.

Ensures data integrity, performs complex calculations, and identifies patterns and inconsistencies in the data.

Create and manage the EDI system for customers and carriers, ensuring smooth data exchange through transportation management systems utilization, web-based platforms/portals, and industry protocols.

Interprets, formats, and manages carrier rate platforms and assessorial charge schedules to ensure that carriers meet scorecard and productivity governance requirements.

Conducts thorough testing of contracts for accuracy, manages contract updates, and maintains document control.

Develops pricing models and service options using advanced analytics to remain competitive and profitable.

Continuous auditing and refinement of pricing models based on market feedback and operational performance.

Documents existing processes and designs new process maps as needed.

Thinks procedurally to improve efficiency and adapts processes to evolving business needs.

Communicates complex data insights and strategic recommendations effectively to stakeholders.

Builds and maintains robust relationships with internal teams and external partners to facilitate seamless implementation of strategies.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and written.

Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Attention to detail.

Proficiency in relevant software applications, such as Microsoft Office and logistics management systems.

Familiarity with various carrier rate platforms and EDI systems.

Strong analytical and process-oriented skills with the ability to manage detailed tasks and projects while adhering to deadlines.

Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Minimum of 2 years of experience in logistics, LTL temperature-controlled transportation in a customer focused environment.

Customer freight consolidation and project leadership preferred.
