Data Governance Lead

Looking for a Data Governance Lead to join the team.

Working location: EST time zone

Job Description:

Assess business needs, data governance operating framework and stewardship role to design, develop and deliver in person training to various stakeholders, executives across the company, respond to questions, follow ups etc.

Deliver at least 2-3 in person training/recording session. Additional sessions/refresher sessions can be conducted remote.

Participate in establishing Data Ownership with alignment from stakeholders in governance activities

Participate in implementation of data management Operating framework with clear Roles and responsibilities

Participate in the implementation of data policies, standards, practices, and processes for data stewards, data owners, information technology teams, and enterprise stakeholders.

Develop training and mentoring guidelines for Data Owners to identify, understand and prioritize data issues and identify opportunities to improve the use and consumption of their data.

Participate in training and other outreach efforts for Data Stewards by helping assess roles, processes, success metrics and recruiting, mentoring individuals into the Data management roles and other committees, development of playbook, workflows etc.

Development of Data Governance progress and quality performance measurements related to the training to provide regular and consistent feedback to executive leadership

SKILLS & QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

Strong data champion who consistently works with Business and IT to help define and implement data governance within the organization; ability to gather information clearly and succinctly from multiple sources and stakeholders and provide clear and concise summary and recommendations to executive leadership

Minimum 6 years' experience working in a data governance organization role (Data Management /Data Governance or BI / Analytics team)

Bachelors or higher degree in computer or data science, mathematics, information management, information technology, or related fields.

Experience with Collibra, Reltio, Oracle EDQ highly preferred

Experience with project management and presentation tools
