Powerline Technician

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Install, repair, troubleshoot and maintain electrical distribution systems including overhead and underground power lines and cables, transformers and other associated equipment

Perform the construction of overhead lines; setting, framing of poles (primary and secondary), stringing and energizing conductors

Perform the construction of underground lines; installation of primary and secondary, ducts and conductors; termination and energizing primary and secondary conductors

Perform electric utility connections, disconnections

Safely operate heavy duty utility equipment including Radial Boom Derricks (R.B.D), bucket trucks, and related equipment as required

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Powerline Technician Red Seal Certificate or Level 3 or 4 Apprenticeship completed

Valid DZ driver’s license with a clean driver abstract

Working at Heights training

Ability to operate heavy duty equipment, such as bucket trucks and Radial Boom Derricks

Enthusiastic and welcoming attitude
