Reporting to the General Manager, the Process/Production Engineer will be responsible for improving and optimizing the production process and making sure we deliver a quality product to our customers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Analyze KPI’s and performance data of the production

Develop methods and plans to improve manufacturing and maintenance operations

Implement and drive continuous improvement activities

Implement quality control procedures and methods of waste reduction

Maximize manpower utilization and processes

Oversee all production, shipping, inventory, and maintenance issues

Identify training needs and conduct or authorize training

Meet daily with the IT team to improve process automation

In conjunction with Health & Safety Advisor, Initiate H&S meetings, practices, plans (modified work), etc.

Schedule, delegate, and ensure plant and equipment maintenance. Follow up on maintenance logs

Plan, organize and direct manufacturing and maintenance operations to ensure the most effective return on assets

Revise and submit management and performance related to the areas of responsibilities

Oversee pre-production process and scrap and remnants reduction

Ensure that machines, trucks, trailers, forklifts, plant, yard, and office are in good condition and that all hauling equipment is roadworthy

Process and order materials

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Process Engineering or equivalent

3 to 5 years of experience in a production engineer role

strong interpersonal and communication skills

ability to establish strong and trusting relationships with employees

good organizational and multitasking skills

knowledge of the concepts and tools of continuous improvement
