Maintenance Technician

Are you a skilled Maintenance Technician (Industrial Millwright 433A) with a passion for mechanical systems and a commitment to excellence? Element5 is looking for a dedicated Maintenance Technician to join our team in St. Thomas!

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our equipment to ensure high uptime, throughput, efficiency, and quality. Utilizing your expertise in technology and maintenance procedures, you will help produce the best quality products.

Shift (Onsite): Monday - Thursday 3:30 PM - 2:00 AM

Role/Responsibilities:

Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.

Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.

Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.

Plan and schedule repairs and preventative maintenance.

Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.

Maintain inventory records for equipment and supplies.

Help develop and implement the budget for the maintenance department.

Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.

Qualifications & Skills:

In-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical automation systems.

Advanced understanding of general maintenance procedures and techniques.

Experience in welding, planning, CNC, and servo systems required.

Experience in wood production is an asset.

Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Great problem-solving skills.

Effective attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.

Well-organized with the ability to prioritize tasks.

Industrial Millwright 433A Certification

Education and Experience:

Experience: A minimum of 5 years in a similar role; knowledgeable of quality and compliance standards.

Education: Certification as an Industrial Millwright is required; certification as an Electrician is a benefit.

Working Conditions:

Physical Effort: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; fall arrest training; forklift license.

Physical Environment: Various physical environments based on task requirements.

Sensory Attention: Required for various maintenance tasks.
