Position : Senior Full Stack Developer/Node

Location : Mississauga, ON

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Senior Full Stack Developer to become a key player in our engineering team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing scalable web applications using React for the frontend, NodeJS for the middle layer, and MongoDB as the backend. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys a balance between hands-on coding and conducting code reviews to maintain high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain scalable web applications using React, NodeJS, and MongoDB.

Dedicate approximately 50% of the time to hands-on coding and development.

Spend the other 50% on conducting thorough code reviews for both frontend and backend components.

Ensure that all pull requests (PRs) meet the company's coding standards and best practices.

Provide constructive feedback and guidance to developers on improving PR submissions.

Lead the effort to maintain and enhance code quality, including refactoring and optimization.

Collaborate closely with the development team to architect robust solutions.

Stay updated with new technologies and propose their adoption where beneficial.

Potentially assist in integrating a distributed cache system like Redis into our tech stack.

Mentor junior developers and promote a culture of continuous learning within the team.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field.

Minimum of 10 years of experience in full-stack development.

Proven expertise in React, NodeJS, and MongoDB.

Experience with code review processes and static code analysis tools.

Strong understanding of web application architecture and design patterns.

Familiarity with distributed caching systems, preferably Redis, is a plus.

Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Commitment to producing high-quality code and leading by example.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
