Overview: The Pricing Analyst contributes to the overall strategy of the organization by scrutinizing, tracking, analyzing, and interpreting costing requests for new and existing business. The Pricing Analyst will play a key role as a cross-functional team member working with sales, marketing and finance counterparts to track, prioritize and cost new and existing business. The Pricing analyst will also work closely with commercial finance, support post launch reviews and innovation tracking and have a dotted line to the Sr. Finance Analyst, Procurement.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Synthesize complex or diverse information; collect and work with cross functional teams to analyze data and translate it into information that can be used to make decisions.

Support Sr. Finance Analyst, Procurement in creating, reviewing, and analyzing costing requests with short turnaround times.

Create costing models/tools to support cross-functional business decisions (i.e. product development costing tool)

Support Revenue Manager in maintaining a centralized database to house all pricing related historical information, including contracts, conditions, trade spend programs, and the impact of various changes over time.

Liaison between Commercial Finance and Procurement Finance to understand customer profitability changes due to evolving market impacts and commodity changes.

Work closely with the master data team to ensure that Bill of Material updates identified due to change in business requirements are updated in a timely manner.

Perform data accumulation and analysis for Requests for Quotations (RFQs). Support Category Management strategies and develop plans for long term cost savings/mitigation strategies.

Provide cross-functional support to various teams to drive efficient decision making based on analytical results.

Experience, Qualifications, and Educational Requirements:

Post-secondary education or equivalent experience (business or engineering preferred) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience – ideally in the field of Commercial Finance or Costing

Prior experience working in a Financial Operational role within the food industry.

Advanced knowledge of Excel required.

Experience with JDE / HUBBLE insight software considered an asset.

Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.

Excellent communication skills – both written & verbal.

Ability to build strong relationships with business partners and to act in a consulting capacity.

Ability to work with extremely detailed information and analyze its impact on both a macro and micro scale.

Experience working as part of a cross functional team and collaborating with business stakeholders.

Capacity to remain flexible, agile and adaptable while delivering results especially in pressure situations.

Strong customer service focus.

Driven and motivated by continuous improvement.
